Outlook outgoing mail problem

Hi all,

Im having a problem sending emails from my outlook acount. It was ok until recently. I havent changed anything but there seems to be a problem with SMTP settings. Incoming is ok, it just fails to send. Outgoing server SMTP is set to 25 (as in yahoo settings), incoming 110, my outgoing server requires authentication is ticked and use same settings as incoming mail.

Any idea anyone?

I had this recently at a customers premises no matter what I did it didnt work, it's not Outlook 2002 (XP) is it? In the end I put 2003 on and it fixed it straight away although I suspect a repair reinstall would have worked as well, worth a try.

thanks, no its 0utlook 07, and vista guess will reinstall, will i loose my emails/tasks etc?

try changing the port from 25 to 587.
