  • Thanks for all your advice. I scrubbed it for 10 mins with Washing powder and lukewarm water. It is still wet this morning so I can't see if it is clean. If not, I'll have to try the carpet cleaner recommended in this thread!!

If it's still very wet, it's great fun getting kids to stand on old towels to soak up the water!

Dd vomited coming round from a seizure on thursday evening, and we didn't have time to do more than lift the solid part of the vomit away as she was taken to hospital by ambulance. We're now left with a large orange stain on our cream carpet. It's sisal so can't cope with getting too wet, though a small amount of water should be ok. Any ideas for how best to deal with the resulting stain please?

Best cleaner I've found for vomit, which I have to clear up a lot of due to cats, is Vanish (in a pink bottle).

Hope your DD is better now :)

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread to keep ideas together.
