Lanzarote might be another option if you like watersorts. stay in Costa Teguise. You can bus it into Puerto Del Carmen for nights out.
We got friendly with another couple to share the cost of a taxi back.
You should be able to get Lanzarote for about 200-250pp

Mallorca (Majorca) is fabulous in september - try to be somewhere near to Palma - the city is brilliant, loads of excellent restaurants, clubs and pubs. Not just aimed at tourists, but to anyone. If you want a real good time try it and see for yourself - you'd be amazed. Most people only ever see the tourist resort's and miss the very best! Oh - language is not a problem, most young people speak English.

You could get yourself cheap flights and accommodation seperately. If you stayed in Cala Major or Illetas you'd be on the doorstep of the city with the beach for the day.

I went for 6 months and stayed 6 years!!

September is a month where most med resorts will still be hot. If you want something different try the Costa de la Luz you can travel to Jerez with Ryanair
