Car Insurance Under £ 20-

Options
Must have been beginner's luck when purchasing car insurance in Februaryfor my wife using a cash back site.
Fully comp. policy cost £ 114-
Visited Swinton through Top Cash Back and received £ 40- from Swinton by purchasing on-line with them and then a further £ 55- from Top Cash Back.
Net Cost therefore was £ 19-

I think that this is not that far off the current record for low cost car insurance.

    Hi Eth,

Just in case you missed it.
What these guys are trying to tell you is that Swintons are dire.
So whilst you might think you've gopt a good deal, you'll possibly have a huge nightmare if you need to claim.

Some cheap deals are good and I've pointed out one where I had a good claim experience myself, but you DO need to careful about service and quality and NOT just cost.

We get a lot of posts on here from people who bought direct cheap and then complain when they didn't get top notch service. There is some truth in the old adage "you get what you pay for", although there is no compromise on service/quality with cashback that I am aware of.

Whilst agreeing in general with the above, paying more for an insurance policy does not guarantee a better level of service! Not everyone's experience is the same with the same company or insurance provider.

    Totally agree eth.
People need to check out service, claims history, fees etc. as well as just price.

In this particular case, the insurer is well know to some, hence the jokes.

Swintons are a broker and use many of the insurance companies that you will find on comparison websites. In my experience, they seem to be better than the rest ie elephant etc and you can talk to someone face to face which is nice :)

Well done on the cashback tho :)

This sounds frightenly cheap. I'd be scared to make a claim there.
