Hi
To cut a long story short I had a bank account with first direct and credit cards with mint and halifax I have written to all 3 asking for money back for charges, First direct on the financial hardship grounds (£1300).
Firstly first direct wrote back and told me it was on hold due to court case but could I send them 6 months wage slips, 6 months bank statements and 6 months statements for all my creditors (do I have to do this) I am in a debt management plan and they are part of it so surley they have already accepted I am in financial hardship.
Mint and Halifax have written back and say I don't have a claim as all there charges were for £12 each.
What do I do now?????
Thanks a lot everyone
Rachel

I see what you are saying. Doesnt make sense does it, but I would send them the info they have requested anyway. That way you have done what THEY have asked and they cant stall the case because of you.
As for MINT and HALIFAX. I had exactly same letter from MINT, carry on regardless of their reply. Eventually they caved and refunded all. So move on to 2nd step.
Good luck, keep us posted. If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!!

Thanks for that. I will write back to mint and halifax now I am assuming I just use letter 2? Has any one else had this with first direct as I haven't got 6 months worth of creditor accounts due to being in the debt management plan.
Thanks again for the help
