Do you read the User Agreements when you instal new software?

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/eulalyzer.html

An interesing little program from Javacoolsoftware (of Spywareblaster fame)

You drag a little icon onto the Agreement when it appears and EULAlyzer quickly scans it and tells you how interesting it is.
  • Discover potentially hidden behavior about the software you're going to install
  • Pick up on things you missed when reading license agreements
  • Keep a saved database of the license agreements you view
  • Instant results - super-fast analysis in just a second

No I think it's aimed at the regular user. Although they say on the homepage that we should always read the EULA, I think they know that not many people do.

The idea is that at least you can give the EULA a quick scan with this to pick out if they say they're going to do something bad

Have you ever chosen not to install something and tried to get your money back?

Nope. Although I've chosen not to install freeware based on the EULA (usually something about me agreeing to install the spyware bundled with it)

Does the EULA really own up to including sypware? That surprises me.

Yeah, it prevents them getting sued (for the most part). They just bank on most people not reading the EULA.

Running "a-squared" after installing the Eulalyzer showed up the Eulalyzer as adware. Is this so or is it a false positive? Thanks tweeter
Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...

Javacool are quite reputable. Their most well known product is spywareblaster.

It's not adware according to Siteadvisor. (Siteadvisor was just yesterday bought by Mcafee so that's an indicator of its reputation)
