Can a discharged BR reclaim bank charges!

I was just wondering if once you are discharged you could reclaim these i know its a right cheek but was just wondering.

I know i applied through a company when BR about PPI reclaiming and was told i could not because i was BR what they did not say was if you could reclaim once discharged?

I suspect not as the bank account (assuming one prior to BR) would now vest in the OR.

The Insolvency Service has the aim of being self funding, so I suspect their technical team are following the case and will be contacting banks directly if the verdict goes the right way.

It really is no wonder we get slated so much when people ask questions like this.

Personally, I am more than happy that my DEBT has gone. I have reclaimed charges in the past (years ago) but all i used the £££'s for was to repay debt anyway
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!

I have to admit i had hardly any charges but just wondered. The only reason i tried to reclaim the PPI was because i had just lost my job and i could not claim finding out i was wildly misold the insurance.

Look before you all jump on the wagon and get your knickers all in a twist i generally ask questions because i wanted to know. When i went BR i made the decision on the friday and walked into the court on the Monday and did not know what to expect next so i started to really research BR and sometimes when i think of things i like to ask the question.

I wish people on here would chill out a bit and not just jump to kick. If you are not sure what someone is asking or why they are asking why not PM them instead of jumping to kick someone. I believe this happened on the forum before and alot of people like myself just walked away when they were great at giving advice and those that know me on here know i would not be asking for any other reason than for knowledge bank.

why be so unfair with replys , i was also going to ask this question because i had a claim for 5000 plus put on hold well before i went bankrupt and was not in financial difficulty , i have now been discharged and feel that as these charges were paid well before bankruptcy i should be entitled to them . am surprised by the replys as i have found this forum and all the great people on it have helped me through the nightmare of bankrupycy over the last couple of years .dont let a few nasty people ruin it

Hi K2nga, hope you are ok.
Why should br people not be entitled to the money back from the banks, especially after being discharged, if the money was taken unlawfully then it was unlawful thats that. At the end of the day for some the thousands that were charged over the years may have assisted with the person going br.
I know the bank acc that i added into my br was £170 overdrawn at the time of going br, every penny from charges. As it was included in my br it didnt actually cost me anything but what if it had eaten up my wages before i switched would that mean I would not be allowed it back just because I was going br?
