Need help - Changing locks

I need to change my locks due to domestic abuse, I only work part time so am on a low wage.
The guy has a key but I highly doubt he will hand it over, dont really want to ask him for it either as he is pretty volatile when he's had a drink which atm is most days.
I dont know what type of locks they are or anything, just that they are assa abloy locks.
Would my housing association be able to do this for me, or tell me what type of locks they are or something?
Also wondering if there's any organisations that may be able to help me with the cost.
I cant go to womens aid as they'll report to SWD, same with the police
There is a safe as houses scheme but not sure they'd change the locks, they provide chains etc but thats no use when I have to go out and he has a key.
Please help.

Hi Happymummy
sorry to here about your situation, If you ask your housing assosiation and explain your situation they may do if for you, If not are they wooden or Upvc doors? being assa im assumng there uPVC! pics would help.0 -
They're upvc, the house is only 2 years old, they're really good locks!!
I'll try to get pics but not sure is I'll get them done tonight as he's gonna be home soon.
They are the type with the thumb turning thing on the inside so I cant even leave my key on the inside to stop him putting his one in.Remember...You are not a salmon!0 -

They're the type you need to push the handle up before you can turn the thing to lock it.Remember...You are not a salmon!0

OP have you spoken to the police abuse unit, they do lock changes for free.
You might also phone womens aid maybe your local one woulld have a volunteer who does this sort of job - ive seen them advertising on one of the volunteer jobs boards Ive looked at so maybe womens aid might know of someone?
I dont change locks but know a fair bit about them and they look quite tricky tbh. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
It might just be a case of unscrewing the two screws on the smaller handle and removing the lock, not really too sure but hopefully someone with more knowledge should be around soon.0

Thanks that photo helped a lot.
what you have is an Assa scandinavian oval, and looking at the lock its master keyed meaning the Housing assosiation have a master key (they will be very annoyed if you remove it) they are also a restricted section meaning keys are not freely avalible stopping un-autherised duplication. is there a name of a locksmiths on the key? your HA will get the lock re-keyed to stop entry by your other half. But I would deff get them to do it.
P.s they arn't avalilible from many any DIY shop you maye have to go to a specilist if you go the diy route.

There isnt a name of a locksmith on it, no, but there is a code printed on it.
Hopefully I wont have to go down this route as he has court tomorrow so I'm going to try to get the key from him before he goes there, 'just incase he gets the jail' even tho I know he's not going to. If he wont give it to me I will pop into the HA office while he's away and see what they say.
Thanks very much for your help.
