Hi can any body help me with my ongoing Microsoft outlook problem, I had lost my contacts but now I have found them.
At the top of the Outlook window there is an address book icon and on the left there is a wide bar with a sort of rotadeck thingy called contacts. Well I used to see my contacts in the address book at the top of the window with all the related details, but now it is only in that rotadeck thingy on the left. You click on that and they are displayed in the main window. The address book at the top is empty.
Can anybody tell me how to get them visible in the address book again please?
All help appreciated.

OK, it sounds like your PST file has been moved at some point.
If you can locate it (normally called outlook.pst), then have a look in the 'help' section of outlook and it will tell you how to link it to the correct address book.

You could try:
Tools->Email Accounts->View or change existing directories or address books
Is your address book there? If not, try adding it.0 -
When I search for PST file it finds one and says it is a "Office data file" which does not really prove to me that that is my contacts from Outlook, is that the one?
Sorry I am a bit stuck with the help, what address book is that the contacts thingy under Outlook Shortcuts is refering to, ie I need to know the difference between the address book at the top and the one on the left to know what I am trying to do in the help, if that makes any sense. I am certainly confused.
Also I have tried
"Tools->Email Accounts->View or change existing directories or address books" but that comes up with a window which just allows me to "remove address book" and there is one there called "Contacts:Personal Folders.
