I ordered a laptop last Monday online at lunchtime. Arrived Wednesday at 11 am. Well impressed, considering they quoted 7-10 days.0

In my experience it often takes less time for Dell to manufacture/customise the laptop or PC than it does for Walsh Western (the carrier company) to collect it from the factory in Limerick and deliver it to your work/home!
That's unless something goes wrong with the order and it takes two weeks to sort it out...

mine went from Ireland (via Germany) to Manchester, and was still here in less than a week!0

Mine has taken 6 full working days. I am not too impressed as this includes a weekend, and i need the laptop! Probably seems longer as i really do need it, I have to console myself with it being such a bargin! £400 for a 630m centrino notebook

Well mine wasn't the bargain that it seemed!
I bought the Inspiron 1300 when it was on special at £348 (basic but with a free mouse). Wanted to connect to my home network, and thought it was just a case of nipping down to my pc shop and buying a card to slot in to side of lappy. Only to be told that the "Express" cards are so new that nobody has them, and you have to buy online from Dell.
Had to get an internal one fitted at a cost of £40, as I really wanted it up and running right away.
Not such a bargain after all!
