Not to make assumptions as clearly we don't know all the details other than you have had a heart attack which is never good news and I wish you a speedy recovery.
However, if everyone in the country that had a heart attack had there debt wiped we would be in an even more sorry state than we are at the moment. As posted by another user previously, critical illness cover would cover this scenario. Not everyone takes it out which is there choice. Its not a choice of you choose to pay it or not but if the proverbial hits the fan someone will bail you out. If you choose not to then I'm afraid you are on your own.
Its down the the point of managing your income, if you choose not to take the cover then make sure you don't borrow more than you can afford to repay if your circumstances change...0 -

In this country we have things called principles. When you borrrow money and spend it you should subsequently repay it. Not look for dodgy loopholes to avoid doing so.
Please get your sky cut off and sell that brand new BMW and repay your debt. Getting a job may help.
Many Thanks,
i dont think this is a forum for people to preach principles, the guy needs advice and i am sure he will get it from some folks in this forum0 -

It's a money saving site. I don't see how it saves me money to help people dodge paying back what they borrow.0 -
Advice - if borrowing money, consider taking out insurance to cover the loan in the event of accident, illness or death.0
