Budgeting Dilemma

You should clear any debt where the rate is high (10%+). Then, save a little and work out how to pay your bills.
Then pay your rent first and all other bills second.

Why are you paying the full TV license yet talking about flatmates? Are you renting a room or sharing a flat? If you are classed as sharing a flat you don't need separate licenses even if you have more than one TV.
No phone?
Anything you can sell on ebay or equivalent/ Look at both things to sell now and thinking about things to sell if you are left jobless. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Hey theoretica,
Yeah we've the one tv licence in a shared flat, but that's split three ways so not the worlds biggest expense!
Sadly very few assets to flog on ebay beyond the odd second hand DVD. Unless anyone wants to share a contact to setup a shop there’s not much to do!
As far as I can see the only reprieve I can hope for is getting a low interest / 0% for six months credit card, but that doesn’t seem likely! I’ve tried explaining to the bank “ok my history, but look at my finances now & my employment, the shown intent to honour my debts – then consider who I’d likely bank with in the future” but they’re not so keen! It’s all so arbitrary, faceless.
Just left grinding it out, hoping I don’t get sacked. Be straight back in the !!!! even if I missed a days work
Anyways enough whining from me, think there’s as much as can be done now, with most avenues exhausted.
Morale of the story be cut up those credit cards! The great debt race! 11 months down, 5 to go!
