financial hardship?

I have been calculating my bank charges for the purpose of putting in a claim. I have been charged an average of £728 per year in charges for the last 6.5 years but not necessarily over £500 in the year just past, does anyone know would this qualify as a case for financial hardship to therefore help fast track my claim?

many thanks Stu

Although the £500 charges in a year is 1 of the things mentioned in the FSA Waiver, banks generally consider FH to be arrears of priority debts such as:

    Reduced income/loss of job
Level of priority debt arrears against free income available
Utility arrears such as gas/electricity threat of being cut off
    Rent/Mortgage arrears
    Council Tax arrears
    Repossession
Serious health issues both physically and mentally
    Threat of possible suicide
No money for food or rent
  • Orford, Thanks very much for the info,

Although none of the above really apply to me except being made redundant in 2007 (from which I found another job of a lower wage about a month later) presumably means that I wouldn't qualify? I don't suppose you know if Natwest are one of the banks that are still paying out regardless of the test case being on hold?

    Many Thanks
