First Plus- Telephone Recordings

Options
Hi All,

I am seriously considering a claim for a mis-sold ppi by first plus.

I have the loan agreements and ppi documentation but I can't remember for certain ( it's 5 years now) what conversations took place over the phone.

Does anyone know whether FP are likely to have recordings of these conversations? Will they be actual sound recordings or written transcripts?

Many thanks for any help.

Regards

Andy

First Plus very often provide a CD of the full conversation at the point of sale.

    Hi Andy

To what I know of they do send you a copy on request, I would ask in writing though and send by recorded delivery, give them about 7 days to provide this.

Another way is to request a Subject Access Request known as a SAR, they have 40 days to comply and supply everything they hold on you.
However there is a £10 charge for this request, payable by either cheque or postal order payment.
Post all letters by recorded delivery.

Link to SAR template letter here:

For more info on reclaiming on PPI check out the useful information on link below, there are templates, but if you can try to write in your own words but use the templates as a quide with obviously your own reasons on how you believe you were mis sold.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full, another letter maybe required depending on the outcome of the response on the first letter you receive, then keep at them until you receive the final response, where they should give details of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) if your not satisfied with the outcome of the complaint.

    Good luck.

Please keep us posted and ask for help when required.;)

hi, go for the claim, the policies are unfit for purpose, they know this , so start on the process and get you moey back.
They will respond with some type of fob of letter at first , just ignore and reiterate your claim, as Di, said they have 8 weeks to deal with a complaint , then you can approach the FOS who are upholding 90% of cliams.

How long is your loan ? the policy was for 5 years , but you are paying ppi over the whole of the loan , and interest on the ppi payment !!!
    so well worth doing.

Firstplus do have recordings - I got tapes of conversations going back a number of years (not related to the ppi complaint).

Interestingly, they record not only the conversation but what happens when you are put on hold - which led to a very interesting comment said by a customer service agent whilst I was on hold. I believe she said something that sounded like Pucking Frick
