Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.0 -
I think you will have to work on a process of elimination.
I'd suggest
Take the fridge out of where it lives
Completely empty it
Thoroughly clean
Leave fridge off and see if the smell returns
If it does then it is nothing to do with the location under the worktop
Plug it in and see if the smell returns
If it does then there is a good chance that it is to do with the inner workings of the fridge that occurs when there is power to it e.g. heating something up
It may not be nice but when the fridge is clean then you are going to have to get your nose right in as the smell is returning.
I heard lemons are good for absorbing smells to might be worth cutting one up and leaving in the fridge0 -
Yep, tried the lemons, ive put a bowl of fresh coffee in the freezer compartment now, if the fridge has to reek of something, id rather it be coffee than vileness!

Could it possibly be DEAD MOUSE in there?:eek::eek:
I had them in the back of my tumble dryer. Hard to locate, and dead ones stink awful.0 -
I'm with Loobyloo2 - are you sure there isn't something dead hidden behind or underneath the motor at the back?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

my mums fridge has a drip tray under the fridge, she had a similar smell.
if you dont have that, try a bowl of hot water, with lots of bicarb in it. it should absorb the smell.0
