That one is definitely a scam, as you can see from the dodgy English. In fact BT have a warning about this on their website. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

The fact that you are asked to send your details to a "live.com" account regarding a "btconnect.com" email address is a bit of a give away too.....0 -
What was in the Email?
Dear Customer,
This e-mail has been sent to you by BT to inform you that we were unable to process your most recent payment of bill. This might be due to either of the following reasons:
1. A recent change in your personal information. (eg: billing address, phone)
2. Submitting incorrect information during bill payment process.
Due to this, to ensure that your service is not interrupted, we request you to confirm and update your billing information today by ********* here
If you have already confirmed your billing information then please disregard this message as we are processing the changes you have made.
Kind regards,
BT Total Broadband team

That one looks very dodgy as well. It seems that these scammers are moving on from banks and targeting BT customers insteadWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

If you're not with BT anyway, just delete and ignore.
If you are with BT, phone them on their customer service number (which I would expect will be on the back of a bill or on their website) and query it with them. They will soon tell you if there is an issue on your account. Most companies however, don't ask for personal / account details to be verified in an email.
I recently had a phone call from my bank, and they asked me to verifiy a few basic details first, but I refused to share anything with them and told them they could be anyone and that as I hadn't requested the call, I wasn't prepared to speak to them and that if I did have any issues regarding my account then I would raise them myself direct with the bank.0 -

Thanks, just shows how things can look like a scam, guess thats the way things are today.Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years0 -
Yeah, but if it was a real email from BT, they wouldn't ask you to send an email back to a Live account. The are probably masking the email address...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
