Anyone out there know of any Van hire companies doing good deals for hire for weekends?

Looking to hire a Ford Connect van to go away in for the weekend, am looking at buying one, but thought about hiring one before I splash the cash and buy one.

so looking for as cheap as possible.

The problem you'll have with most hire companies is that they won't guarantee to supply the actual make & model you want, only a comparative or better model than the one you've booked.

If you want that particular make & model, try your local dealer and see if they will provide you a vehicle for a test drive for the weekend. If you don't ask you don't get. If not they may offer a rental service.

May be worth checking with your local hire comapnies: I remember hiring a transit for £25 for a couple of hours and, more recently, my brother hired a newer transit for £40 for 2 days. Always remember that *for some reason :D* they always prefer cash and may well give you a discount. Don't forget to mention this when enquiring! :D
