I'm coming to the end of my 1st year with my Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct current account paying 8.5% interest up to £2500. I was just wondering what people do after the first year.
I have heard you can downgrade your account and upgrade it after a month to gain another years promo rate. Is this true?
Also is it possible to sign up as a new customer again? If so how long do you wait.

Just apply for their latest account as a second account, but do not request any overdraft facilities. They opened my 2nd account online without a problem and I received email confirmation it was opened within 5 minutes."Click the pennies. Collect the pounds."0
