Business Account charges

Does anyone know if or how i'd go about recaliming charges for a business account.
This is on behalf of my partner.
He set up a business account when he was looking to start up his own business but in the end that never took off he has no overdraft or any kind of credit with that account and for the past couple of years it has never ever being used yet barclays kept charging him £17.45 every three months for admin charges, what charges could they possibly incur when no money goes in or out of the account?
Does anyone know if he could reclaim the charges for it as he has recieved another letter today requesting the money for the so called admin charges.
Any help much appreciated!!

Hi Tracy I have done a couple of business reclaims, but I am no expert.
Has he been paying these charges or is he overdrawn.
Lots of banks make a charge for just having a business account I pay £6 a month for mine, regardless of any transactions.
I suspect because of the amount it may just be a charge for having the account, mine is called an account maintenance charge, in which case it is not reclaimable.
He should really contact Barclays and ask what it is forDebt Free Dec 2009non-smoker 19th Nov 2010Trying to lose weight 40lb/42lb
