Links of London Sale - avoid!

Please avoid the "LondonofLinks" page which claims to be a sale page of the official Links of London site. It's currently doing the rounds on email, posing as an "official" sale.
Allegedly you can buy LOL pieces for up to 80% off. On further inspection it seems as if this site is a con. It's NOT linked to the main site, and buried in the privacy statement it says that all products sold are replicas.
Thanks to the MSE's who spotted this for me!

I don't think this site is linked in any way to the legitimate Links of London.
A quick who is search gives this site as only being registered on the 05th of May 2009 to someone operating out of the USA, and is probably supplying fake items, made with low grade materials sourced from China/HongKong.
This site doesn't even have a telephone contact, and their "contact us" page looks very similar to that of the numerous websites that sell 'sale priced' Tiffany jewellery (not jewelry as stated on the website!)
Also - small spelling errors - just check about their blog (spelled bolg!)
My advice - avoid like the plague!

Ha anyone used these before. I'm not convinced by their answer to- is the jewelery authentic?
Yes, all our Links of london jewelries come from lins of london Hong Kong Distributors, 100% Authentic sterling silver made guaranteed, exactly the same as the jewelries in Links of london stores. All our jewelries are stamped with "Links london" and will come with Links of london gift packing including a gift box. If you took the items that you purchased to the local jewelers and were told that they were not sterling silver or the prices were not worth, we will Fully Refund you money.0 -
Yep, definite scam site. Too cheap, mentioning 'shipping' instead of postage which we would say, 'sales tax' which we don't have (unlike America), we have VAT. Dodgy dodgy dodgy.0

Thanks for letting me know. Luckily I had not ordered yet. I am amazed how people can create websites that look almost exactly like the 'real thing'!
My intention certainly wasn't to direct people to a dud site. Maybe this thread will raise awareness that the sale isn't quite all that it seems!
Thanks again.0 -
Rach - good idea to edit your original post and remove the link so no-one falls for it ?0
