Gym in administration - Membership rights?

Hi all
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes anyway...
I got membership for a local leisure centre about 1 month ago, and got a good deal on 1 years membership along with my wife. We paid a little over £600 for 1 year for both of us.
In the last few days, the leisure centre has gone into administration - it's still trading while things are sorted, but there could well be an imminent closure.
My assumption is that we will lose our membership if it closes - can anyone advise on this? I'm really annoyed that there was no indication of risk (obvious really - they can't go shouting about it!), and that we're potentially going to lose a big chunk of money.
It was paid for on a debit card, so there's no chance of doing anything through a credit card company.
Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated 'cause it's really disappointing - it's taken me 10 years get back to a gym due to finances etc, and for this to happen in the first month is a nightmare!
Thanks
Rich

Usually when a company goes bust your put at the very bottom of a list of people waiting to be paid.0
