    Is a lil bit gutting tho to know we are having to pay a market value ( so as not to cause legal probs with care fees )for a house we would have otherwise inherited ,damned rules!!

    Getting bits done after exchange is only my opinion, legally its not right, but if it were my mum's house and we were buying it, i would be very tempted to go in and start doing things now, ie before exchange, but obviously your sister is against that so i wouldnt up set the situation anymore, and leave it til she is happy for you to go in and do things.
