daily telegraph call.....

hello,

my mobile phone was on silent last night because i'd been at work and i didn't check it until about 8pm but i had a missed call at about 6pm and when i called the number there was an automated message that said 'you have been contacted by the daily telegraph, don't worry if you missed the call, we will endeavor to call you back'

has anyone else had a call from them? i didn't want to get excited about it in case they were just going to ask if i wanted to subscribe or something!

I had one from them two days ago offering me a discount on there paper subscription. But I hope its a win for you , good luck.

Yes, I'm afraid I had the same.....special offer If I took out a subscription with them.....hope you're Is a win....

Someone else posted about this yesterday. I think the Telegraph's marketing people must be on a big campaign to sell subscriptions at the moment because I've been plagued with calls from them over the past couple of weeks.

Argh! They call my mobile 3-4 times a day, EVERY day lately.
I answered once and the bloke asked me how many times a week I bought a newspaper. I said to him that I couldn't talk cos I was at work (which I was!).
Now I get missed calls all the time. The phone rings but rings off before I even have the chance to answer it!

So, sadly it's probably a sales call, but you never know, it might just be something more exciting... xx

iv had calls from them before about promotions! Mean because it gets your hopes up!!

If it is from 02082961472 then it is most likely about subscription, as I got two calls from that number. Missed the first, but answered the second. It was from a call centre I would say, on behalf of the Telegraph. I was hoping it was a win...
