Parcelforce

I posted a parcel using Parcelforce before I went on holiday, however, on returning from my holiday when I tracked the parcel on their website I was not convinced that the Proof of Delivery signature was the recipient's.
I queried this for several weeks with the parcelforce staff who were unhelpful and in the end I filed a claim under 'Disputed delivery'. I have been told that since my claim was 10 days outside the 30 days limit it is invalid.
I am not in a position to contact the recipient directly to enquire if the parcel was delivered.
Any help/suggestions as to how I can persuade to reconsider my claim and investigate if the recipient received the parcel would be much appreciated.

Hi, without knowing if the person did recieve the parcel or not it might be hard to claim? I would think they'd want confirmation from that person to say they did not sign for it or recieve it. Hope this helps...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I cannot go into details but I cannot contact the recipient directly to enquire if the parcel was delivered. So the writing to recipient is a no no.
I do know for certain that the Proof of Delivery signature is not the recipient's. I paid good money to Parcelforce to deliver the parcel to the recipient, which in my case I feel they have failed to do so.0 -
all parcel force has to contractual do is to deliver to the address on the package
they are not obliged to check who signs for the package
so if parcelforce has obtained a signature then you can assume that it has been deleivered unless the receipient is stating that it is not0 -

The signature may be that of someone who was at the address at the time of delivery...or a neighbour.
Is the recipient likely to get intouch with you IF they have not received the delivery?0 -
Hmm, was it someone's ear or something you sent through the post???
Perhaps the recipient shares a house with someone else and that person signed for it? Perhaps the neighbour signed for it and then gave it to the original intended?
How do you know the person didn't end up getting it?I love surprises!0 -

I tracked a parcel coming to me via parcelfarce on 2 separate occasions. Both times I could see that it had been delivered, and someone had signed for it. But I didn't recognise the surname. Both occasions I got home to find no card through the door and no way of knowing where the hek my parcel was. It's a good thing the people on my street are honest as both times I got the parcel via someone knocking at the door with it.
:rolleyes:0 -
OP: I don't think there's much you can do. You pay Parcelforce to deliver to an address and not a person. It's not their job to investigate if the person that did sign for it gave it to the person it was addressed to and even if it were it would be impossible for them to conduct such an investigation.
I'm guessing the OP has sent a gift to someone that they're not allowed to have contact with... So it's important to them to know that the intended recipient received it but they can't ask.0 -
if you had sent something to me it's highly likely to signature you'd see online is that of my neighbour named Mike!Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!
