GE Capital PPI claim after sold to CL Finance?

Options
Hi

My mum used to have an Evans, Burtons and Dorothy Perkins card. All three of these had PPI added to them despite my mum never being in employment.

The DP debt was paid off in April 05 but the other two are now with CL Finance.

I've done a SAR request from GE Captial and they have provided (limited) information for the Evans and Burtons but nothing for the DP (couldn't find account number).

So getting to the point, I'm going to be submitting a claim for the PPI in the region of £700 for each account which is far bigger than I expected it to be.

Just wondering if anyone has had success in claiming from them, especially after the debt has been sold on?

Argos paid up within 10 days of making claim (credit to account) to them so I'm hopeful that we have concrete grounds for misselling but can't quite believe they will cough up after they have already written off the debt!

Any story welcome - good or bad :)

Cheers
