New Claim Under Hardship - HSBC - CARD SRVS?!?

Hi

Having just been successful in getting a recent charge of £50 for going over my overdraft limit for one day refunded this month just by ringing them I am looking through my statements to see if I can start a claim as I consider myself reading through the guides on here as in financial hardship. My question is I can see clearly some charges on statements labelled as "Charge" however all the time I was a student I had an interest free overdraft of up to £1500 by the end of the 3 years - each year it went up by £500 and I have been charged every other month irregular amounts labelled as "CARD SRVS - HSBC" which one month I did get reversed which is shown on the statement and I clearly remember ringing up once complaining that I got charged for going over for a day or two again. Can I include these in my claim?

Also as a second question as I was going through the statements I noticed once I left uni after getting a graduate loan I was charged £600 "LOAN PROTECTION" is this something I can dispute seperately as I can't remember for the life of me signing up for this as I don't normal take out the protection plans they offer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can anyone help on either question?

The card srvs range from £12 to £40 - and on one occasion I did get it reversed as I remember ringing as they then increased my overdraft to stop it happening again.

In particular the loan protection as I had £5000 graduate loan paid in sept 03 and the very next day £600 debited as LOAN PROTECTION - I had a job at local council so can't see why I would have taken it out as I had a secure job and never take the protection out - however I can't find any paper work on it as paid it off in 2006.

    Thanks in advance for help?
  • 1) card services HSBC is credit card--did you have a credit card with them as well?
    2) You can claim it back but I would ask for the specific in the PPI forum.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
