Advance train deals so good at times!
Im going to Brighton in August for a few days break thanks to a past Travelodge sale.
Have been watching the train websites for good value tickets and have got a return from the Midlands to Brighton for £23.90.
It was cheaper to buy 4 single tickets - I was suprised how cheap some of these advance tickets were - from my nearers station which is 30 mins from Birmingham to London was £3.65 going out then Southern trains I found do advance fares Victoria to Brighton so got that for £2.95 each way. My return tickets £14 odd as no advance ones and wanted off peak for more flexi option as not sure what time Im heading home yet....
The Southern trains £3 each way tickets seem to be available most days on most trains - well worth a look - my local station quoted me £48 return and if I split the journey the Brighton part was £11 each way!
You have to keep an eye out for these bargins but Im well impressed with the price Ive paid:T
