Flying back to Scotland from canada via amsterdam-where to get ciggys from?

im flying back via klm to scotland with a two hour stop over in amsterdam. my OH went back day before and she bought 400 marlboros from montreal airport duty free and was out without any hasstle at uk airport. cost her 49 canadian dollars. can i get more than 400 like maybe 600 from amsterdam at a good price. they use euros in amster. so dont know where to get the ciggys from cause my OH wanted to buy OK magazine which said 2pounds on it and the guy in the shop asked for 10 canadian dollars. so what should i do buy from montreal duty free or amsterdam???

Returning to the UK you are entitled to bring in 200 Duty Free ciggies.

At Schiphol (Amsterdam) you will not be permitted buy duty free ciggies, only duty paid ciggies at approx 48 Euros a carton.... and you can buy as may cartons as you want.

With regards to your friend bringing 400 duty free ciggies into the UK from Montreal..... You pays your money, you takes your chance..... You might not be so lucky.
