Large Group holiday over New Year

Hi

Anyone know where a good place to look for cottages for large groups of people over the New Year

We've left it a bit late- there is about 14 of us and we are looking to pay abut £1750 for the week, tough budget we have managed so far but I'm really struggling this year!!

Any advise would be appreciated greatly!!

Try Helpful Holidays - https://www.helpfulholidays.co.uk - they have a search facility I believe based on occupancy. Also try https://www.holiday-rentals.com as they will let you put in all criteria including dates, numbers and maximum price if you go to their advanced search.

A big group of us hired a whole Youth Hostel in Wales for a weekend in January and we're seriously considering doing it for New Year. The amenities are basic, but it's all about the company on occasions like that. We managed a 3 course black tie dinner on the Saturday night and people bought decorations and crackers which, with the lights down, transformed the place. We had to buy more drink though because we'd drunk the entire weekend's ration on Friday night! Accommodation, food and the (original0 drink budget came to £80 a family for the weekend.

You should def do for new Year!! We do the same re meals on New Year's day, cook a 3-course meal - we seem to be getting good at estimating the amount of booze we need though!

I think you're right. My husband and I have this strange conversation every year when we discuss how overrated New Year is and how it is always a disappointment. This year I worked out that in the 9 years we've spent together, I've had two good New Years Eves. One was without him and the other was a party at a friends (same friends we went to Wales with actually) - both the only times I've actually been out of the house on the night in that time!

Definately got to do something this year. I should be taking my own advice!
