I hope i am in the right place, and if not im sorry. Anyway i received a letter today from lloyds telling me that on 19th june i was £2.97 overdrawn. And lloyds have provided me with an unplanned overdraft. so they are charging me £15 plus a daily fee of £6.00.
Can they do this,i know they have, but i didnt ask them too

Yes they can do this. You can ask if they would remove it if its the first time you have done something like this, with the excuse 'oh I thought my card would just decline if I didn't have enough money in', but they aren't obliged to.0

By making a transaction without available funds you technically did ask them to0

Yep, unauthorised O/D fees will apply.
As already suggested, speak to them and they might take pity if you're usually a good customer. But in future try to plan your spending better and ask for a small O/D facility if you feel you might go overdrawn slightly in the future. It's far cheaper to plan ahead. If you will the end, you must will the means.0
