manchester airport parking

Hi everyone, i hope someone can advise me on this i am travelling from manchester airport early morning on a weekday and am looking to drive there and park my car for the week, picking it up on my return a week later. I know that you can book directly on the manchester airport website think it was about £45 but i wanted to see if i could get something any cheaper. There is a box on the airport booking site for promotional codes does anyone know of any?
What other companies provide this sort of service and are reliable? i have seen the watchdog programmes where companies take your car joyriding for the week while you think it is locked away in a secure car park!
Any help would be most appreciated.

Hiya, I go away 4 times a year I always use a company called elite valet parking, they meet you at the terminal at the airport take your bags out of your car for you and then they take your car and park it up, and when you return the bring the car back to you at the terminal

    http://www.elitevaletparking.co.uk/

I have never had a problem with them.

I've only used off-site car parks from Birmingham airport - and they've never taken them 'joy-riding' :rotfl:

Check out the ones on the manchester airport website then go and get quotes elsewhere - check out the comparison sites on Martin's articles. I've used Airparks & APH before - they may have branches for Man airport.

I usually use these http://www.aph.com/offers/landingpages/dynamic.htm?code=987092&ref=enews there is an extra 15% discount on this link. Or Holiday Extras can be good. I have used a few of the car park through both these companies and never had a problem.

    Hi

FSS (Flight Shuttle Service) are very good and reasonable and they are only down the road from the airport.

Great service and good prices. We have used them for over 10 years now.

If you go to their website (just google FSS parking) there is a 10% online discount.

No payment is necessary when booking, you pay by card on arrival at the park.

Hope you have a great holiday.

We used Airparks at Handforth Dean recently and we were very impressed.

We stopped overnight, so hubby dropped me and the children at the hotel and then went and took the car to him. He said it was very organised and very secure.

On return, they had our flight details and we had to phone them when we'd cleared baggage reclaim and customs. We were told to go to level 12 of the multi story and our car was just outside the door! We loaded the cases in and the man took the luggage trolley away and met us at the the car park exit so he could lift the exit barrier and give hubby his £1 for the trolley back.

Baggage and customs were super quick this time, and we were on the motorway within 55 minutes of the flight landing! Much less hassle than having to get shuttle busses back to car parks like we've done before.

There's no evidence of joy riding or the car being misused. It was a little dusty due to sitting in the compound for a fortnight, but that's to be expected.
Here I go again on my own....

If travelling early in the morning from Manchester, we always use a hotel overnight and use their parking facility which comes very cheap.

We're flying late September and have booked a room at the Hilton plus 14 day's parking for £76 all in. The Hilton is within the airport complex but they bus you across for free. No meals included in the price.

This saves early morning scrambles and possible hold-ups on M6 / M62.

Watch out for hotels that quote prices and then charge you for the transport to and from the airport.

Don't book direct - go through a booking agent site which seem to have cheaper prices - we used http://www.holidayextras.co.uk/

We've stayed at the Hilton before and it's fine for an overnight stay, really convenient for the airport terminals and cheaper than most off-airport hotels.

We were having an early morning flight out of Manchester, and we used a company that is away from the airport, only cost up about £6 for the day (it was a day trip), we arrived about 2am, parked up and then they bus you to the airport, and when you arrive back, phone them and they send the bus for you again. We confused things by not actually flying back, we got the train back up from London, and so had to get from the airport train station to arrivals to get the bus, (we could see the bus picking some other passengers up, but due to the layout of the airport couldn't get there fast enough, but phoned them when we finally made it to arrivals and the bus was with us within 5 mins), when the other half gets up later I shall ask him for the name of the company.

Just found the original email, it's RCP Parking, and it cost £5.98 for what was near enough 24 hours. Don;t know what their other rates are like, and the car park was quite secure.

I too am looking for the promo code!!
I want to park in the short stay so I can go right to my car and drive away with the absolute minimum of fuss (and not leave my camera bag in the shuttle bus again for some nice person to nick!!:angry:).
Did anybody come up with one?? Knowing they're out there somewhere is delaying my booking!!
    Thanks in anticipation
