Now that Wanadoo are putting their prices up, does anyone know the cheapest but still reliable Pay As You Go Internet Provider on Dial Up for occasional mainly evening and weekend use?

For "Cheapest" you would need to provide your Telephone providers name then someone would need to investigate the call charges of that provider. Ie: the price your provider charges for 0844/0845 access. You could sign up with an indirect call provider ie: Onetel or the like, they provide an ISP service in addition to "cheap calls" for a monthly fee etc.
Personally, I've always kept and account with FreeUK here should I ever need to use dialup. They are extremely reliable but use an 0845 (local call) rate, which may be relatively expensive depending upon like I said above, your call provider ie: BT\NTL et al especially when considering connection charges ie: NTL charge 6p now for connecting to a number, plus whatever per minute is charged during the duration of the charge, plus obviously VAT on top of that at the end of your billing cycle.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
