PPI insurance

Options
Hi, I sent a letter to my Loan provider complaining about been mis sold a PPI insurance agreement, the Loan provider said that I didn't have a case but let me cancel my PPI insurance and carry on paying the loan without it. The loan was taken out only 2 years ago and the PPI insurance was cancelled a year ago, can I claim the PPI insurance back.

Can anyone help:A

can I claim the PPI insurance back.

You have asked the lender that already and they have said no. So, you now need to refer it to the FOS if you disagree with that.

    Hi there

Was any of this in writing?

If so you can now move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) as dunstonh says, and enclose a copy of that letter with the complaints form, good luck.

You can either contact the FOS by ringing them or download a form from the site to print off.;)

The ombudsman is only likely to look at your case if you send it to them within 6 months of the lenders final decision.

Do you want to back off? This forum is for help and advice but all you have done on this and other posts is verging on abusive. Go away. You don't know why people think they were mis sold the PPI maybe they don't want to say why but they have their reasons?

You keep telling people to read the small print but seriously...have you NEVER made a mistake in your life?

If you can't say anything nice......

yes ive made mistakes in the past and like i have said in other posts i am sick of reading about people claiming to have been mis sold this and that.
the best one i read recently is wipe your credit card balance because the wording in the original agreement was wrong
people have got to start taking responsabilty and stop blaming others

But when someone asks for help, instead of telling them off for being stupid wouldn't it be nicer if you were to try and help them and not be rude to them?

We understand that "wiping off debt" is mostly posted ans talked about on the loan thread, this one is and should be just reclaiming on mis sold PPI, many of us here on this thread do not believe in Wiping off debt, only the reclaiming of the PPI.

There are lots of reasons for mis selling.........
Responsibility of these sales works both ways, not just that of the customer!
If I worked for a loan company I would feel very guilty for selling a product without going through the policy with them to ensure it suits, not knowing if it would be worthless to the customer or not.

My nephew worked for a loan company and was told he had to try to get that customer to purchase the PPI, as this would help add to his pay, and was told to tell them they may not be accepted for the loan if they did not take it out, he could not do it and now works for the police in the head office.
He said he was put in a position with the loan business and given a right telling off when the PPI was not sold!
