I have had my Toshiba Satellite L350-170 for abt 7 months, when i am in IE, sometimes even without clicking on any links, multiple windows keep opening up! before was not so often, but for the last few days, has been every day at least once, just now I had 29 windows open!! Then the screen was just flickering black and white, no images, was trying to close them all down, but the only way seems to to turn of laptop! Why is this happening, does anyone know??

Can you click Tools, Popup Blocker, then turn it ON?
You might also like to download, then update and run:
MalwareBytes:
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&!!!!!button
Spybot Search & Destroy:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html - be sure to click the 'Imunize' button in order to block lots of 'nasties' that may get onto your computer.
Ensure you're using a firewall when online, other than that thats about all you can do. Chances are however, you've got some kind of malware, on your computer but the above programs once downloaded, updated and executed should find out whatever it is and deal with it.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
My pop-up blocker is turned on, I have superanitspy and malware, shall run malware now.0

Ok I ran Malware, that found nothing, superantispyware found 299 adware tracking cookies and got rid of them.Should I download spybot?0

I would and indeed have. Just don't have them all resident in your system tray at the sametime, especially the 'tea-timer' portion of spybot, but it's worth the download for the immunize functionality I find.It could have been worse. You can uninstall them if you like, or just keep them on your drive and update them from time to time, then scan your system accordingly. That's what I do, they all seem quite happy together.
Well that's good to hear then.Things do seem to running quicker now though.

Possibly, but I wouldn't have thought so. It could be anything from an open port, to someone running a program on your computer. But the programs you've used should have sorted it out.
You could also try running ccleaner, to ensure that all the crap has been wiped from your computer. It also has the benefit of cleaning out most of the crap or defunct options in your registry, so things should move alot quicker. You could download it from here: http://www.ccleaner.com/ just ensure you choose the 'alternative' download and when it asks you to install a toolbar, just untick the option thus saying 'no' you can then get an idea of what it does here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzBMzVd0H90
