I sold an item on Ebay on Sunday . £167 it was to a person in France , I sent the invoice and had still not recieved payment . This person has 39 Positive feedback and has been a member since 2004 . I sent another invoice this morning and have just had a reply asking for the item to be sent to Scotland . Please tell me if this is safe to do , as I understand I should only send to the paypal address . Although she does seem legit . Thanks.

Only ever send to a confirmed PP address, you could always ask the seller to confirm the new address in their account, if they are genuine they should have no trouble doing this.2 angels in heaven :A0

I have done it before and had no problems, sometimes if its a gift people like it to be sent direct to the person its for to save them posting it on once they get it.0

I am unclear if they have paid yet or not? If they haven't paid yet, how do you know what the PP address is? You must ignore the ebay address.
For that kind of money I would not be sending to an alternative address.
All they have to do is add the required delivery address when they pay. If they are legit, it won't be a problem.

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

For high end goods where sellers will be relying on tracking to prevent any paypal silliness from a scammer it would be very unwise to use an alternative address.
For untracked low end items where sellers are happy to use their own judgement and accept the risks then any address will be fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. dont you mean buyers cant get neg's anymore? sellers cant give negs, unless this has changed very recently0 -
I wouldnt risk it for that amount of money. Your only coverd in paypal if you send to the confirmed address. They can always add an address but you would have to refund the payment (if they have paid) first0
