PPI and Full and Final Settlements

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me as my situation seems a little different.
I took out a loan with HSBC about 4 years ago and was sold aPPI with it. Unfortunately my business started struggling, but I sold it before I was forced to or made bankrupt. Over the following two years I made full and final settlements to everyone I owed including HSBC. They refused sold the debt on to a recovery agency who finally came to an agreement. As i haven't repaid the original loan plus PPI in full and not to HSBC can I still make a claim.

Many thanks for any help.

    Hi there John

As far as I know you can try.
Even though I've not been in this actual situation myself before I can't see why not.

You have possibly been out of pocket if this was mis sold to you for any reason.

For more information, check on the link below which is a PPI reclaiming guide and information, with templates, good luck and please post again for help when required.;)

  • Not sure under which grounds to pursue the claim. Can't remember the conversation with the bank apart from being told I would be covered for unemployment.

    Hi John

Maybe if you reqeusted a Subject Access Request (SAR) may help.

With this request they must comply by 40 days, and send eveything possible requested on the SAR.

There is a charge of £10 for this request, either by postal order or cheque payment.
    Post by recorded delivery.

The link for SAR template here if you want to do this that is.;)
