I actually recieve £52 something a week. Thank you for your comments, but if you read my OP, I DO actually pay for my sons trips, and yes I try to save where I can, but sometimes things crop up, like this week, my IS has changed from weekly payments to fortnightly, and I did not wish to take a loan out to cover this week, so things are a bit tight.0 -
But that is what savings are for.0

Perhaps you could explain this changeover problem to the school and ask if there was anything they could do to help ? Either that or live off beans on toast this week ? :rolleyes:Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Ah yes because it is so easy to save and £60 a week is a fortune its not like children need clothes, shoes (that they dont grow out of) food, transport to school etc etc. I think some people have been a bit harsh. Schools often give little notice on paying for trips and it can be alot of money.Recently married and loving it x0

most schools have a fund for this. but you have to tell them your circumstances. they may not pay it all but they often pay half. and they dont broadcast it either.
when my sons partner couldnt afford a trip for her son, or an after school football thing, they paid half. my own kids when they were younger, the school paid in full for a week in the isle of wight and a trip to derbyshire for a week. their polciy was that no child should be excluded because of cost.0 -
