I need to purchase programmes for my laptop that are going to be refunded by my insurance company.
Can anyone advise on the best programmes to buy? Need the whole, word, excel, adobe, thing. As well as outlook
Also as we have multiple computers in the home will one of those security systems for a network be better? rather than buying seperate cover for all computers in the home?
As it is being replaced by insurance I want to ensure that everything is replaced. And we get like for like.
Any recommendations?

You want Office Standard 2003 then, which includes Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint. See http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000AZJVB/qid=1144081569/sr=2-3/ref=sr_2_11_3/026-9339209-2170015. Office Professional also includes Publisher and Access.
I'm not saying that Amazon is the cheapest, and if you care about not paying full price then you could purchase an upgrade product (if you also buy and install an earlier version), or the Student and Teacher edition.
Adobe Reader is a free download - http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. If you want Adobe Acrobat Professional, which will allow you to create and edit .pdf files, that can be very expensive.0
