And do modern cars and braking systems alter a persons thinking time, and the time to move your leg across to the brake pedal.?No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Thinking time and brake peddle pushing speed depends on the person but i still say the modern brakes, abs etc will stop a car far sooner than the highway code claims.0

Possibly true, however, not everyone has a modern car or abs etc.
Speed limits are there for a reason, and there is no such thing as "safely speeding".
Anyway, topic is deviating away from the original subject. (and its time for bed)No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

At the location that I was driving, it was safe for me to drive at 35mph IMO. The Police did not stop me nor did they charge me with dangerous driving. I firmly believe that it was revenue collection/target reaching. I was targetted at the bottom of a slope where I inadvertantly and momentarily crept above the limit. One day I will have my proportional revenge on the Police.
Anybody who could not drive safely at the location where I was robbed should not be behind the wheel of a car. My accident record is second to none.
