Hi, Just thought I'd pop my head in here and say hi!! I'm so fed up of all these energy companies constatntly pushing their services in your face when none of them actually charge reasonable rates! Even worse the customer service is naff as soon as they have you on board! I just got through complaining to the ombudsman about the mess I have had between British Gas and Eon!! So now I dont want either! has anyone actually had good service as well as cheap prices from anyone?
Thanks
Freya

    Hi Guys,
I know its not for everyone but when 'm short of cash I work for a company cold calling from home. My landline calls are free anyway so I just use the phone book and their call script and I get paid cash per lead. The pay depends on what company I'm calling for as the agency has different clients but they pay me on the 30th for anything sent over and there is no contract or anything. Like I say its not for everyone because you get the odd rude remark and obvious brush offs but for a days work I can get £150 which isnt bad at all. I did a week a couple of weeks ago because basically I needed the cash but I got like £890 which was a life saver for me at the time. Plus Lisa is really nice and helps you out a lot. Anyway if anyone wants more info email Lisa - I'm sure she wont mind me passing on her email address.[removed email address] Let me know how you get on! But dont take all the work I'm going on holiday in August so I'll want plenty for July :)

???? Whats cold calling got to do with my gas and electric? Selling leaflets, business cards, posters and stuff doesnt give me advice on my gas and electric??

Ahhh you mean pushing in your face and big profits?? Well one big diff mate!! I'm trying to help local businesses stay alive not help utility companies make billions! These businesses cant afford to advertise every other second , with huge call centres who never answer the phone or answer your queries. I am more than happy to help the businesses I call for, as they are small struggling businesses who are trying to survive in hard times.

Well unfortunately people have to survive and pay bills. Companies AND individuals. Must be nice not to have to worry about it. Not to mention the fact that not all cold callers are pushy. I'm not and I do very well Thank you. I'm sure you are one of the needlessly rude people. Must be nice to sit and judge when people out there are losing their businesses and jobs. Oh and in case you didnt notice 'm calling businesses not people.

We all have bills to be paid, a lot of people dont like cold callers yourself included "pushing their services in your face "

Thanks for "I'm sure you are one of the needlessly rude people"

And your assumption is based on what?

I dont like cold callers, nope I make no secret of that fact, but did I say I was rude. Most of us dont like cold callers

I make sure I have a sign at my door, I tick the boxes not to receive marketing calls, I go ex directory, and I input known spam numbers on my phone and then follow through and tell the company not to pester me. What is wrong with that? nothing. I make it quiet clear I dont want marketing calls no matter what

Have you heard the expression "pot kettle black"
