Glad you all can make use of it, unfortunatley we can't use it ourselves vacinate our cat and dog yearly for when we go on hols.

But of a discrimination over people that do it regularly but at least it encourages everyone to get the vaccinations done.
  • Thanks for that my mums house cats hadnt been vac'd for ages and needed to start a new course of jabs so saved us a fortune, thanks!!:T:A

We took in a stray cat just before Christmas. Have no idea of his age or whether he's been vaccinated before. He was not chipped and vet said he was less that a year old. He's probably a bit less than 18 months-just my luck!

Those of you whose regular vets aren't listed on the website, its worth giving them a ring as my practice is not part of the 'official' amnesty as we don't use the vaccines from the pharma company who is behind it, however our vaccine manufacturer is also backing an amnesty where those animals who have out of date vaccines can be brought up to date for the price of a booster jab, (essentially what this promotion is about - which is why its only for those over 18 months overdue as most people will just give a booster to those that have had a vacc in the last 18 months rather than a restart.)

Does anyone know if there is a list that can be accessed of the participating vets locally before you go to the trouble of filling in the online form, as I have two dogs but not sure if any of the vets in my area will be doing it...
    thanks

    Thank you SiuLoong,

I have 2 cats, who are due to be vacinnated in June, 12 months after their last vaccinations. I was wondering why this seems to penalise against those of us who do vaccinate regularly - and we only pay about £70-80 for their treatments (including worming tablets) for the pair of them, so was hoping initally for a cheapy this time round. But now i have the explaination, it makes sense.

Here's to chasing the cats round the Vets on Saturday!!!
Always on the look out for a bargain. :smileyhea Thanks if you've helped me bag one.

A Myxi jab costs us £18. We're in Surrey.
