Disability Element WTC and Extra Hours

Hi,
I have been on WTC with the diasability element for nearly 3 years now. I work 16 hours a week. I have been offered an extra 2 hours a week at work which I feel able to do and would like to do.
I understand that I would not need to inform WTC at this stage as I would not be going above 30 hours a week or getting an increase of more than £2000 a year. However it does say that I work 16 hours a week on my renewal form so I would have to inform them of this change when completing the form.
My question is is this likely to cause me any problems with getting my claim renewed as I will no longer be able to tick the box to say that things are still how they were the previous year? (Or will I, as my condition is unlikely to change?) Does WTC send people for medicals/dispute their condition etc and is a small change in the number of hours worked the sort of thing to spark this off?
Thanking you in anticipation of any replies.
