You cannot go wrong with Panasonic, they and Sony are two of the best makes of televisions on the market.0

We recently bought the 37" version and are very pleased with it - the clarity and colour are brilliant ..... it also has a facility where you can insert your SD Card and view photos's on it!
I reccommend it highly ....A good buy.0 -
either will be fine - as mentioned Panasonic are a high quality brand. I have their 65" plasma TV

For the same money you could get a Sony or Samsung with Ethernet connection supporting DLNA streaming of movies/pics/music from your PC.0

Thank you very much for all your reply's i think it's safe to say we'll look for one or the other.
I should also point out the in law's are 74 so i don't think they'll be too interested in streaming pics/Movies and Music from their pc.... But thanks for thinking of it.
Appreciate your feedback.
Thanks

Also, if your parents are not planning to connect it up to a complicated AV system for sound, ensure that the sound from the TV itself is clear. I was listening to several at our local Tesco Extra and the sound of most sets is thin, reedy and indistinct from their own speakers. Exception was the Sony.0
