owners direct - a genuine bargain??

Does anyone know if Owners Direct are a trustworthy company? I can cut the cost of my family holiday by 1/3 if I book with them and book flights separately, but I'm a bit worried about sending a cheque to an individual with no guarantees that they are genuine. Any advice/experience??

    Hi
We have booked through owners direct a few times. My sister did it just recently in Lanzarote.

Everything has gone smooth with ours.

Where are you looking at staying and post us a link to the apt then we can have a look for you.
  • Thanks for that. The link is http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/spain/S3009.htm. Much appreciated!

Yes owners direct are a reputable company - we advertise with them ourselves.

You will deal directly with the apartment owner usually and so can get any first hand info you need. Also as they are private apartments etc, they are usually much better appointed and maintained than those owned/used by tour companies.

We always book directly with the owners. W booked a couple of years ago with Owners Direct and had no problems and also regularly use Chez Nous - another website for property owners - a lot and have only ever had fab holidays. If you are worried you can always ask for the details of any past clients who are happy for you to contact them. Not only does it give you peace of mind, but you sometimes can pick up tips about the area you are travelling to. Have a great holiday
