loading-start up pc probs

my main pc won't load through at all (XP), it just keeps trying to load through from the screen that has list, (start up in safe mode etc) I've tried the recovery disk but it can't load that through either Any advice would be grateful, thanks in advance
My nxt prob is my laptop, a small amount of coffee was spilt on the keyboard & since then (over a week ago) some keys won't work even though it is dry, again any advice

1st prob: Let it load into safemode then look in device manager for a yellow marker. If one is there reinstall driver. If it's not there post back and you'll have a few options.
Can't help on 2nd prob.0 -
1st Problem sounds like a boot sector issue, try a repair (not reinstall) using the XP install disks. The command is FIXBOOT.
