OPC parking fine

I live in a private block of flats and we have designated parking spaces where I have been parking for the past 1.5 years. Last week I found a parking ticket from OPC. apparently the reason given is that permit was not clearly displayed. I have been displaying my parking permit for the last 1.5 years in the same way and nothing has happened. Also from my perspective, there was nothing wrong in the way it was displayed - so i am at a loss to understand why they have charged me.
I called OPC and the girl on the other side said nothing can be done and I have to pay.
Having read some other OPC and private aprking posts in this forum, I am planning not to respond to the parking ticket until they write to me.
Any advice on next steps would be greatly appreciated especially
- whether i made a mistake by calling them (i did not leave any details apart from my phone number)
- what should my grounds of appeal
- any templates would be appreciated
Thanks

No mistake made as no details given.
There is NO appeal from them as they would not make any money if they gave in. Check your lease to see how it affects you. No template needed.
Subject to the lease wording you just ignore them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Who appointed OPC. If it is a management company that is funded by your maintenance fees, contact them and say you are not happy, and that if it continues you will canvas the rest of the tenants with a view to replacing them.0

the management company has appointed OPC and there is nothing in the lease in relation to this.
thanks both for your ideas. i shall contact the managemenent company0 -
Remind them that if you get more than 50 percent of the residents together you can kick out the management company. Also get a copy of the contract between them and OPC..0
