i am doing some investigation with regards to a financial matter within the family,
I need to find the value of a property now and as it was 3 1/2 years ago, the values only need to be appox, as it is only for a discussion
I know there is a website around that i can find out the value of a property, but i cant find it........ can someone help.....
also i need to find out the approx value of the same property 3 1/2 years ago.
does the same website give that value?

WWW.houseprices.co.uk
will give you the prices paid for all housed sold in the UK over the last few years. Maybe that will be of some use.
There are many others too, but the one above is free and easy to use.0 -
This is a house price calculator. If you can find out the current value, you can work out the value 3 years ago

If you don't get any joy from the house price websites, the Land Registry produces quarterly house price reports. If you're prepared to do a bit of maths, you can check average house prices for your county/borough for now and 3 1/2 years ago and compare the percentage increase to a current valuation from an EA. IYSWIM!

the problem i have is dont know the current value, although the value 3 years ago has been mentioned at £200000
edit: doozergirl, actually the landreg site gave me a figure for 3 years ago... so many thankssmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

unfortunately it isnt my property....... the subject is a little odd and possibly controversial and the people involved are very close to me, I have started another thread using the info from this one....smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....
