sipgate.co.uk are far better. Free inbound local number for you, free outbound calls to 0800 numbers forever, and reasonable call costs worldwide. I added a tenner back in April and still have £6.50 credit remaining even after massively dialing 0870 numbers for a few hours talking to Three customer service (I needed to record the calls...)Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. I opened a Voipdiscount account when I got stranded in Thailand last year. I got my 90 days free calls and am still using the 10 Euro credit that I opened the account with. I have lots of Thai friends in the UK and English friends in Thailand who use them all the time and think that the prices and the call quality are excellent.0

LeeSouthEast..
Have seen many people recommending Sipgate. Though for the destination I mostly call, they charge 13.60p/min (mob) 10.50p/min (landline) compared to just 1.9p/min with localphone. Me too make loads of calls to 0870 numbers. I don't know if I got it right but Sipgate website say 7.51p/min.

I wonder if I had probs with Voipcheap cos of a particular employee that handled my enquiry! Voipcheap, Voipbuster, Voipdiscount, etc. are they run by different franchisees / agents? All with policies and practices of their own?!0 -

If I'm honest they are not the cheapest.. but with the additional hassle of the cheapies, I'd rather just pay a little more and get a reliable service. If you mainly make extended calls a lot to those destinations, then it will work out more expensive. I make so few landline calls the costs are moot really, preferring to use my mobile inclusive minutes. I liked the free inbound geographical number though.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009.
