Door to door survey offered me £5 in cash

A lady came to my door today showed me her identity badge and asked me to participate in a survey that she said was for ladies between 50 and 60 about how happy they were with the government today.

I said no it was an inconvenient time and she then shoved her badge at me again quite agitated that I had refused. A badge really doesnt encourage me to let anyone in because I imagine these days they can be easily faked but she then said they were giving £5 in cash and it wouldnt take more than £15 minutes

I didnt notice if she went to any other doors on my street but does this kind of thing happen usually that they offer money to complete surveys?
Thanx

I did one last year. Some bloke knocked on my door one saturday morning and was conducting a survey about radio listeners aged 15-35.

I think he was desperate for people to fill it in as he knocked 5 years off my age to make me fit his criteria and gave me a fiver for doing it!

    He was from Ipsos-MORI.

Aye Ipsos-Mori will often pay a nominal sum for your time when filling in a survey, I occasionally get a call from them asking if i'd be willing to fill in a survey and get £5 gift voucher in return as I did a door to door one a while back.

As I've normally got plenty of free time I don't mind doing it and getting a few pounds for a few minutes of my time:)

i Had one of these people ages back only took 10min and free £5. Not bad for 10min of answering simple questions.

Damn, the last mori poll chap we had only gave us a pen. I wonder where the fiver went? Mmmmm.

Got a free £5 from a optician if i agreed to a eye test, he gets mpaid off NHS and he had around 50 people lined up. A little sacrifice from him and he gets big rewards.
    Owed out = lots.

Capitalise on that and get her a job as a bailiff.

I got a fiver for doing customer research a while ago. My friend and I were just approached on the street in Brum, answered questions for a few minutes and then left merrily on our way.

I got stopped at blackpool pleasure beach a few years back wilst the wife was on a ride with my lad and did a survey. the lady found out I was from near warrington and asked if I would be interested in doing a lager survey at warrington rugby league ground for 1hr every wednesday for 3 weeks running and the would give me £10 everytime I turned up. Also any mates who wanted to come with me could.

we got given 6 pints each time we went 2 at a time to score and an extra hr to stay behind and finish them off. 3 great wednesdays on the run the 4 of us had
she still calls round our house every now and again so I never refuse to do a survey just in case the beer 1 comes up again

ps the week after my wife went for a soup survey but I don't think it was as good as mine :rotfl:
