What now? 2nd letter?

Hi all, I've made a PPI claim for my brother inlaw to Lloyds TSB:mad:
He received the standard blurb about how sorry they were to hear of his complaint and that he should cancel his insurance etc. He then received another letter saying it is taking time to gather all the info (what? it's simple) and that they would be in contact again within four weeks. That was on the 22nd May, since then nothing.
Should he send another letter, and if so what should he say??

Sometimes it isn't as simple as it sounds to gather all that info you know......
Why not give them a call to see if they can give you an update. Sounds like you have only had an acknowledgement and 4 week letter adn they have 8 weeks to get back to you before you can go the FOS.0
